Thirsty Thursday - Healthy Edition

I'm a newbie to juicing, so naturally I scoured the internet/blogs looking for tips & recipes. Not going to lie, there's an over abundance of info out there - one can get overwhelmed, easily.

Here are a few tips -
- I like to use coconut water over plain water, for all of it's benefits including, being low in calories, high in potassium & super hydrating, just name a few
- I like to use frozen fruits, eliminating the need for ice [which can in turn water down your smoothie]. You just want to be careful when buying frozen fruit, make sure it's not drowned in sugary juices. If using use fruit, just wash, peel, portion the fruit & store in the freezer, for when you're ready to use.
- Lastly, [I learned this the hard way] you should blend in stages - blending your greens w/your water first [this eliminates leafy chunks] NO one likes leafy chunks!

Here is a quick & easy go-to recipe -

Ingredients -

- 2 cups of greens of your choice (I had baby spinach on hand)
- 8 oz of coconut water
- 1 cup of frozen mixed fruit (banana, strawberry, pineapple)

So once again, you blend the greens & water first. Then add frozen fruit & enjoy! Let me know if you try it & like it. Also if you have any recipe ides to share.

xx, B
